Meet Our Team

Dr. Dennis Sebunya, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Sebunya grew up in a family that had numerous pets over the years and so he’s always had a love for animals. From a young age, he wanted to work in the medical field and so he decided that becoming a veterinarian would be the best way of combining the two things that he loved (medicine and working with animals). After graduating from veterinary school in 2001, he worked in a mixed animal practice in addition to doing some wildlife work. He then worked in a university research setting before returning to full-time small animal practice.

Prior to joining The Vet’s Animal Hospital in 2011, he spent almost 5 years in small animal practice in Parker and Aurora. While Dr. Sebunya enjoys the variety that comes with small animal practice, he has a special interest in soft tissue surgery as well as dentistry. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Sebunya is excited to be a part of The Vet’s Animal Hospital because this is a practice that truly makes a difference in the lives of pets.

During his free time, he enjoys bodybuilding, CrossFit, martial arts and playing the guitar. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons hiking, paddle boarding, and enjoying the great Colorado outdoors. Dr. Sebunya has a dog named Tucker who is always up for a good adventure. Tucker was adopted as a one-year-old through the Prison Trained Canine Companion Program.
